EKIN YAGMAN i MORLA ROSEL
Our students from the Ekin Yagman and Morla Rosel Engraving Workshop share the school’s Exhibition Hall to present their most recent works. ———- “People Watching” is the quiet art of observing the world around you, focusing on the peculiarities of daily life. It is based on noticing the little things – The story behind a pair of torn shoes, or the way a person crosses their legs when standing. Through gestures, clothing, and expressions, one can glimpse untold stories and fleeting moments of connection. People-watching invites us to enter the lives of others, even if fleetingly, and find beauty in the everyday and the peculiar. EKIN YAGMAN ———- When you don’t have a garden you can dream about it and my muses, my “Hollow girls in the garden of delights” dream. Translated into engravings, and monotypes, sitting, standing or hollow, surrounded by birds, sounds and flutters in a dreamed vegetation come out of the inks of my imagination.
